Many users prefer Wget to download the files to a directory. But on some systems, it is not installed and so that’s why there is only one option means curl is available for download. You can download files with the use of these two other curl of the Wget. You can also easily send the HTTP POST application request while using the curl and the Wget. Whoever the curl provides APIs which can also be used by the programs in their own language code. Libcurl is mainly used by curl which is a type of cross-platform library. Most of the protocols are mainly supported by the curl as compared to the Wget. The main great and major advantage is that the Wget supports the recursive download but the curl doesn’t

O option is important. If it is not, then the call will start dumping on the stdout while downloading. Using the O, you can download the files and extensions in the same name like the remote server.

Whenever Curl Downloaded it gives some of this useful information:
% = It shows how many percents of the download is completed now. Whenever it completes the whole download means 100% download then the download is fully completed.
Total :- Whole size of the downloaded file
Received:- The complete size of the downloaded file which has been received in the directory or the folder.
Xferd:- Whenever you upload any file to the remote server then only you will need it.
Average Dload Speed:- This mainly shows the overall average speed of the download.
Average Upload Speed:- Just opposite to the average Dload speed, it just shows the average speed of uploading a file.
Time Total:- It will show the total time, which is consumed while downloading the file.
