Why, when you send from normal emails, you can’t know how many people received your email and whether they read your email or not. How to set up email tracking in WordPress?

Use the plugin “WP Mail SMTP” which has a greater number of users all over the world. It deliberately uses an SMTP server for email deliverability.

Step 1: Go search for the plugin “WP Mail SMTP” start installing and activate it without fail. Go to “Settings” for configuration and it asks you to enter the license key.

Step 2: Type your license key and tap on the button “Verify key”. If you can’t see all those information kindly go to the website “WP Mail SMTP”.

Step 3: After completing step 2, go to the section “Mailer” where you need to scroll down. There, you can see the choices for sending emails.

The SMTP service and WP Mail SMTP work in the same configuration. Choose the mail for sending emails and so, you will get instructions for the next step over there.

PHP mailer is the default option but doesn’t use it now. We can see most of them haven’t configured their WordPress hosting before sending emails. This may push the email to the spam folder instead to reach the inbox. The user may miss your email right!

WordPress Email Tracking Enablement:

Setting up the plugin process over now! Remaining, you need to set other features like email tracking and email logging.

Step 1:Check whether the plugin is activated if so, kindly move on to the email where you can see the tracking pixel. Now go to WP Mail SMTP and then tap on “Settings”.

Step 2:Tap on the option “Email Log” and also cross-check the email records whether the “Enable log” is enabled or not. If not, please check the box without fail because it helps to deliver or save basic details all about your emails.

Step 3:There are some more checkboxes available below. All these are related to email tracking so, enable all the checkboxes. Always save the copy before sending the email, you can use it later for resending the emails. Tap on the check box “Log Email Content” and “Save attachment”.

Step 4:Now, start tracking the email by checking the options “Click Link Tracking” and “Open Email Tracking”. One more important thing to consider when saving all your email tracking detail is storage. Check if you have enough storage in disk space or else just change the settings. Check the option “Log Retention Period” and so, you have more choices such as forever, 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 6 months, and 1 year.

Before leaving the page, don’t forget to click on “Save Settings”.

Analytics check in WordPress email tracking:

Step 1:Go to “WP Mail SMTP” and then select “Email Log”. This option helps to know the basic settings such as opening and clicks of email. Open the email log individually to see detailed information about the email. Tap on “View Log Link”.

Step 2:Also, to ensure the email has been sent or not go to WP Mail SMTP and then choose “Email Log”. It shows all the emails in the list along with the red and green marks. The red dot means the emails haven’t been delivered and the green dot means the email has been delivered. If you want to resend the email again go to the link “View Log” on the email which hasn’t been sent.

Step 3:The email log screen will be displayed in front of you now. So, tap on the button “resend”. Pop up the message and asks you to confirm the email address. Tap on the button “Yes”!

Step 4:If you found there are more emails to be resent, kindly select all and then go to the email log screen. Tap on the button “Resend” and apply the changes. Same process repeats! A pop-up message will be received and then tap on the button “Yes”!

Step 5:Most probably, you may see the steps are so long but the steps are repeated in every instance. Go to “WP Mail SMTP” and then choose “Email Reports” for viewing the full detailed process on email statistics.
