How to Fix the Permission Denial Error When Accessing Mail Account?

When you try to access your mail accounts in Plesk, you may be denied the access. An error message will flash on the screen that reads the following:

“Error: Permission denied: the user does not have the manage permission”

You’ll receive the error when trying to access the Domains > mydomain.com > Mail Accounts. You may receive the same error when you try to navigate into Plesk > WordPress Toolkit.

When trying to access Domains > mydomain.com using a customer account, the process will fail as well with the error message reading:

“Error: The site does not have physical hosting”

The reason behind this error is a product issue with ID #EXTGIT-133. The customers might have Git management permissions denied, in which case they no longer see the permission denial error instead of Plesk pages. The bug was spotted by the Plesk team in extended version 1.2.1 and was later fixed in 1.2.2.

Solution

To solve this error, you need to do a Plesk upgrade. Check your current version. If it’s 1.2.1 or lower, upgrade to the latest or a newer version. Since the Plesk team have already fixed the bug, you should no longer see the denial error.
