  • Log in to your Facebook account
  • Then click on “Manage Ads” or “Create Ads,” whichever one is available
  • In the next page, click on the option next to the Facebook icon from the header. This will show you the drop-down options
  • Look for the “Event Manager” option
  • Under it, you’ll find Pixels. Click on the Pixels option
  • Next, click on “Create a Pixel
  • In the popup, provide a name for the pixel as per your convenience. Click on “Create” which would create the Pixel for you
  • In the next step, you’d be asked how you want to install the Pixel. You can use a Tag Manager, Install the code manually, or send instructions to a developer team.
  • If you opt to install the code manually, then open header.php file of your WordPress theme. Alternatively, you can use a plugin.
  • Now go back to Facebook and click on “Install the Code Manually
  • You’ll see a code. Copy this code into the clipboard
  • Now head back to the header.php file and paste the code. If you’re using a Plugin like “Insert Header and Footer,” then paste the code in it
  • Save the changes you’ve made and exit.
Wait for a few minutes and then go to Facebook to check if the Pixel is active. If not, wait for the next day. It checks few visits to your website to ensure the pixel is working.

Now you can start using the installed pixel for retargeting.
