To restrict RDP access you first have to open Windows Server control panel.
- First, open the Windows Server control panel.
- Go to System and Security
- And click on “Windows Defender Firewall” where you can find “Firewall configuration” option.
- Now click on “Advanced Settings” and then you will find “Inbound Rules” option.
- Search for “Remote Desktop- User Mode (TCP-In)” and after that right click on it and then select “Properties” option.
- You will find various tabs and then you have to click on “Scope” tab. After that click on “Remote IP addresses section.
- Now you have to add your IP address to restrict access.
- Finally, to restrict access, add your IP address or an IP address range. If you do not know your IP address you can view it here:
- You can also add other IP addresses which you want to restrict and click on “Ok”.
