How to resolve the issue SMTP error: Message size exceeds server limit Roundcube?

How to resolve the issue SMTP error: Message size exceeds server limit Roundcube?

There is a certain limit while uploading the attachment in an email. Sometimes, it won’t exceed the limit but still, you will end with the message saying SMTP error: Message size exceeds server limit Roundcube.

This message shows that the uploaded attachment has exceeded in limit but in reality, it is not exceeded. Before sending the email, it is being encrypted with Base64. It solidly works to increase the mail size by triggering the rules of the ModSec upload limit. Email is prevented with all the limitations before sending it to the recipient.

It should be an effective path to sort out this problem just by increasing the Exim Configuration Manager message_size_limit.

Step 1: Go to service configuration and then redirect to Exim Configuration Manager.

Step 2: Move on to Advanced Editor and choose the section “CONFIG”.

Step 3: Now, choose message_size_limit.

Note: If you didn’t find message_size_limit in the section CONFIG then you can create the new one as per the requirement.

Just a few steps, it’s been solved now!
