Steps to setup private nameservers in WHM

You can follow below steps to setup nameservers in WHM:
  • Login to WHM.
  • Now click on “Edit DNS zone” under “DNS Functions”.
  • Here you can select domain name from drop down and then click on “Edit”.
  • You have to enter SOA record and email address for nameservers.
  • You have to point to private nameserver to the A record for ns1 and ns2. For this you have to enter A record.
  • At last save all the changes.
  • DNS propogation will take 12-48 hours.
NOTE: you also have to create nameservers at your domain registrar’s end. After that you have to enter in WHM too.
