Steps to setup POP3 account in Mac mail

You can follow below steps to configure POP3 account in Mac Mail email client. For that it is must to have email account or you can create email account in cpanel.
  • To configure your email account in Mac, first open Mac Mail.
  • Now click on “File” menu and then you will find “Add Account”, click on it.
  • A new window will open where you have to enter your Full Name, Email Address and Password.
  • In the last of this page you will find “Continue” button, hit on that button.
  • After that new page will open in which you have to enter Incoming Mail Server details.
  • You have to enter Account Type, Description, Incoming Mail Server, User Name and Password.
NOTE: If you confused about details then you can contact your hosting provider for the Incoming Mail Server.
  • Again you will get new window of Incoming Mail Security, you have to check Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) box, select Password from “Authentication” drop-down and click on “Continue”.
  • Now you have to enter about your outgoing mail server details like Description, Outgoing Mail Server, check “Use Authentication” box, User Name and Password.
  • Again click on “Continue” and you will get Outgoing Mail Security window.
  • Here you have to first check Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) box and then from drop-down menu click on Password. Click on “Continue” button.
  • Now your POP3 Account is configured, you are able to see the Account summary window and then select “Take Account Online” button.
  • At last click on “Create”.
